THURSDAY, 28th JANUARY, 8:00pm, Lecture - Leaving Certificate History Syllabus by Dr Patrick Callan. St Patrick's Classical School, Navan. This will be of particular interest to teachers, students and parents.

TUESDAY, 16 FEBRUARY, 7:30pm, Launch of Ríocht na Midhe 2016 (edited by Peter Connell) at the Ardboyne Hotel, Navan. Dr. Edel Bhreathnach (incoming patron) will perform the launch at 7:30pm. The evening will commence with a reception for members and guests along with a book fair at 6.30pm. The lauch will by followed by a Lecture – “The Irish Parliamentary Party post 1916” – by Dr Conor Mulvagh, UCD.

TUESDAY, 22 MARCH, 7:30pm, Séamus Mac Gabhann Lecture: “Tara - its Importance, Nationally and Internationally” by Dr Edel Bhreathnach (CEO Discovery Programme.) at St Columban's College, Dalgan Park, Navan.

THURSDAY, 14 APRIL, 7:30pm, Annual General Meeting followed by Lecture - “Black Friary Excavations, Trim” by Finola O'Carroll (Irish Archaeology Field School) at Trim Library, High St., Trim.

SATURDAY, 7 MAY Excursion - “1916 and Meath connections” visiting Glasnevin Cemetery, GPO, Arbour Hill Cemetery, and National Museum, Collins Barracks. Organiser: Noel French.

SUNDAY, 29 MAY, 3:00pm, Outing - “Walking the Dowth Estate” Dr Steve Davis (UCD School of Archaeology). Assemble at Dowth.

SATURDAY, 25 JUNE Annual summer excursion visiting Waterford City Treasures and Waterford Cathedral, stopping by Carlow town (Visual Gallery and County Museum). Coach picking up at Kells, Navan, Ross Cross and Dunshaughlin. Cost (includes coach, entry to sites, morning coffee/tea, evening meal): 55 euro per person. SUNDAY 14 AUGUST, 3:00pm, Lecture - “The Importance of the Country House in Political and Social Life” by Dr Patricia McCarthy. At Headfort House, Kells.

SUNDAY, 2 OCTOBER, 3:00pm, Lecture - “The Irish Harp and the Formation of Irish Identity” by Mary Louise O'Donnell (In support of the O'Carolan Harp and Cultural and Heritage Festival). At the Community Hall, Nobber.

THURSDAY, 17 NOVEMBER, 7:30pm, Lecture - “Beaufort - A Man of Many Parts” by Dr Robert O'Byrne (Irish Georgian Society). At St Mary's Church of Ireland, Church Hill, Navan.
